Preparation
This is the first step of your kitchen cabinet installation video. It’s often the most overlooked step, but it’s crucial for getting everything else right! And you’ll probably find that you have one of these two problems with your kitchen if you don’t prepare well before installing cabinets.You don’t have enough space for all of your cabinets. If this is the case, it might be time to rethink your layout and design. 2) You have plenty of space for cabinets, but you don’t have any storage in the kitchen anymore- because you’ve already filled up every nook and cranny! So what can you do? Well, either buy some storage or move some things around in your kitchen so that there is still room for your new cabinets.
Assemble the Frame
Wearing gloves and safety glasses, use the drill and appropriate size fasteners to assemble the frame. Place one cabinet on each side of the frame. Once you have made sure that your cabinets are level with each other, drill two holes on each cabinet for mounting screws. Place one screw into each hole and tighten with a screwdriver. Drill the remaining screws in place, tightening them with the screwdriver. Repeat this process for all four sides of the frame. Tighten all of your screws using a screwdriver for an even look and feel when installing kitchen cabinets like a pro!
Cut Out the Hole in the Wall

If you don’t have one, use a circular saw or hand saw. If you are using an electric saw, make sure it’s plugged in and that the blade is set flush with the table so it can cut through easily. Apply pressure evenly as you cut through, and also try not to twist your wrist as you go – this will help avoid splintering of wood at the edge of your cut and give a more professional finish.
Laying out the Sides & Top/Bottom Panel Holes
We recommend that you lay the doors and drawers on the ground so you can see them better. If your cabinet sides are taller than your sheets of melamine, we recommend cutting back both the top/bottom and side panels before attaching them together. Make sure to lay out all of your parts so they are clearly visible before you start the installation process. Always check with the manual for specific instructions! Attach the Drawer Slides
Attach the drawer slides, using the appropriate hardware for your kitchen cabinet style. If you don’t have any drawer slides, you can find them at any hardware store or through Amazon and other online retailers. Fit the drawers into their openings and use one hand to hold them in place while pushing the front of the drawer with your other hand until it locks into place; then fasten the screws on either side of each drawer with a screwdriver.
Check Level of Cabinet
Now it’s time to make sure that the cabinet is level. You do this by putting the level on top of the cabinet and making sure that it is sitting flat on top of the cabinet. The bubble should be in the center of the meter. If your level is sitting off center, then you will need to move one side until it is centered.
