Fortnite is a free-to-play battle royale game, which means players can download the base game for free and enjoy it as much as they want. What makes Fortnite unique, though, is the Battle Pass. This Fornite feature unlocks weekly challenges, rewards, and new items to buy when the season ends. This is Epic’s way of earning additional cash to pay their bills!
1. Special Forces
Special Forces are rare Fortnite skin that is always in high demand. The skin is a faithful recreation of the first character to be eliminated from Season 1, but can still be found throughout the game, which is a rarity in the world of limited edition cosmetics!
Special Forces will always be a delight for those who appreciate an understated, but sharp look in their gaming. Its latest appearance was in the 7.20 build of Fortnite, and it was only available from December 12th to January 11th. But between updates and special offers, Special Forces may be making another comeback soon!
2. Hacivat
Meet Hacivat, the rarest skin in the game. It’s a classic Turkish shadow play figure, and frankly, it’s one of the most unusual skins to grace the Item Shop. We haven’t seen this skin in 899 days. In contrast, other skins rotate back into the Item Shop every month to welcome new players and offer returning players a chance to buy something new.
3. Honor Guard
The Honor Guard is the most coveted Fortnite skin in existence. This skin is exclusive to those who purchase the Honor View 20, so you won’t find it in any other game — which means you have no way of getting it without paying a steep price. The Honor Guard was previously only seen on the Fortnite subreddit as a concept skin, but now it’s available in-game!
4. Renegade Raider
Renegade Raider is the most popular Fortnite skins, becoming a favorite player since its release in Season 1. Not only that, it is a classic skin that has not been featured in any item shops since its initial debut — something that draws people back to it through nostalgia.
Wearing The Island skin will make you look like a pro-gamer. The Island is the birthplace of battle royale matches and has been since the game’s inception — so if you’re looking to take your game to the next level, equip your character with this favorite skin for added personality.
5. Black Widow
In 2019, the Black Widow skin and its associated battle pose were re-added to the online game Dota 2 and the live service client. The skin is available for both heroes Black Widow and Widowmaker and can be purchased from the Dota 2 store, either on its own or as part of a bundle with other cosmetic items.
6. Blue Team Leader
The Blue Team Leader was a skin released in February 2018 to celebrate those who were PlayStation Plus subscribers. Wearing a blue tank top and beanie, the Blue Team Leader is the perfect skin for anyone who wants to be fun and quirky.
7. Aerial Assault Trooper
The Renegade Raider is a rarity in Fortnite — you might even say she’s the most epic villain in the game! She is considered to be rarer than the Aerial Assault Trooper, as she’s level 20 and not 15. Players who were willing to spend some V-bucks during the beginnings of Fortnite found themselves able to purchase her upon hitting level 20, whereas troopers had to wait until level 15.
8. Skull Trooper
The Skull Trooper is a unique skin that many Fortnite players know and love. It’s been a long-time favorite since the Battle Royale game debuted – but it’s only just come back to the game’s item shop! There’s no question that it will sell well, but Epic Games wants to give players who’ve been playing since Season 1 a special little thank you for all the support they’ve given us in the meantime.
9. Double Helix
Double Helix is a Fortnite skin and harvesting tool that comes with 1000 Vbucks and is available for Nintendo Switch console owners who purchase the game. The harvesting tool, as well as the skin, is memorabilia for Nintendo fans, who are interested in playing the world’s largest free-to-play game on their new favorite console, the Nintendo Switch.
10. Dark Voyager
Legacy skins are an excellent way to show off your rarest, best, and most valuable skins, though they can also be worn in regular matches by any player. A great example of a legacy skin is the Dark Voyager. The Dark Voyager is a season 3 skin and features an astronaut suit with glowing blue lines, which make it easier to spot in the dark corners of the map.
11. Sparkle Specialist
Another one of the OG skins, the Sparkle Specialist has been a very popular skin since its introduction in Season 2. As such, many players are now looking to get their hands on the Black Night skin. 12. Galaxy
Epic Games, an international game development company, has introduced a new skin for the game Fortnite that is only available to users who have purchased specific Samsung Galaxy phones. The company launched its “Galaxy Skin” promotion in both South Korea and the United States, in which eligible gamers who have purchased a Note 9 or S4 will be able to receive the exclusive galaxy skin.
13. Axiom
Another character from the item shop, Axiom is part of the “Third Eye” set, including another skin that is just as rare as himself. This character sports what can only be described as a mix between Sam Fisher and Steve Rodgers — I personally love it — especially in this day and age where people are questioning why male superheroes wear leggings to one-up their foes. Too much skin? You decide!
14. Psion
Psion is the last of a trilogy of companions, with Ozma and Axiom. Psion was the coolest, but also the only one to be oddly phased out before the next release. I’m not sure why, but that’s what we have to work with for now. Please vote to get her back in the game again!
